Please reach us at byvets4vets@projectphoenix.biz if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We are two veterans that decided to "be the change" and assist our fellow veterans. You are not going to find an elaborate corporate structure here. This isn't a "business" for us, it's a misson, a calling, and our lifestyle. While we intend to take on an Advisory Board sometime in the near future, we have limited the leadership to the founders to ensure our vision is maintained.
Project Phoenix Mission Statement
Project Phoenix is a veteran-founded, veteran-led nonprofit dedicated to helping our brothers and sisters in arms navigate the journey from military service to a meaningful, stable civilian life. Our mission is to provide a restorative place to land and a clear path forward—meeting veterans where they are, and walking with them toward where they want to be. On our Homestead in Missouri, we will offer safe housing, purposeful daily work, and one-on-one mentorship in a calm, nature-centered environment. Through unhurried time outdoors—caring for the land and livestock, building routines, and reconnecting with the rhythms of nature—veterans gain space to slow down, decompress, and find their footing.
When each veteran is ready, our mentors—fellow veterans who understand the culture, the costs, and the strengths of service—come alongside to talk through hopes, challenges, and next steps. Together, we translate those conversations into a practical, personalized plan for the future, with clear goals and the support to reach them. We remain present throughout the process, providing guidance, accountability, community connections, and encouragement as veterans rebuild purpose, confidence, and momentum.
All services are offered at no cost to the veteran. We accept no government funding and are sustained entirely by the generosity of donors and sponsors who believe in peer-led, community-powered care. Founded by two veterans who turned their own lives into a mission to serve others, Project Phoenix exists to help warriors rise renewed, grounded in dignity, stability, and purpose. By vets, for vets.
We are currently in the process of building the infra-structure we need to house, support and mentor incoming veterans. When that infrastructure is completed we will update this FAQ with how to apply. That being said, if you are a veteran and your struggling, please do NOT hesitate to reach out to us.
Yes, Project Phoenix is a non-profit organization, 501c3 pending, dedicated to helping veterans. We solely depend on donations and sponsors.
